The report of the European DI Event
“Microsoft has committed to working with the vendor community on several issues related to document format interoperability as part of our Document Interoperability Initiative (DII) announced recently as part of our Interoperability Principles.”
During the Microsoft European Document Interoperability Event different cutting-edge IT organizations presented their latest technology based on document exchange, such as ODF (Open Document Format). Below you can read a short report of the CTO of BusinessBase Marc Remmers who was there to demonstrate the document interoperability solution of BusinessBase for Microsoft CRM and BB.Net.
On the first day of the European Document Interoperability Event Microsoft held a seminar for the various ISV’s to discuss the technological developments in the field of document interoperability. On the second day these developments were showcased for a large audience (mostly people of the press). BusinessBase was the only organization that had a solution that is already been put into operation. For that matter BusinessBase was asked to kick-off the event.
The viewers were impressed with our document interoperability solution that BusinessBase developed for Microsoft CRM and our own product line BB.Net off course. The user interface of BB.Net also caught the eye. It’s not a real surprise, because BB.Net has the look & feel of the Microsoft applications and will therefore be easily recognized by many. Furthermore, the architecture of BB.Net was seen as very broad and flexible.
Marc Remmers’ presentation and demonstration made al lot of viewers, even other ISV’s, interested in BB.Net, BusinessBase the organization and vision of the company. “So in short, I can say it was a very successful”, says Marc Remmers.
